Furlow House Online Reservations
FURLOW HOUSE RESERVATIONS AND OCCUPANCY POLICIES
This page will tell you how to make a booking at Furlow House, and the terms of bookings at Furlow
House.
If you have questions that are not answered here or if you wish additional information, please click here to
send us an email at info@coloradovictorian.com or call us at 504-866-1400.
Booking periods
All bookings at Furlow House are for a minimum of one week. Bookings normally begin on Sunday afternoon and
end on a Sunday morning, but if your requirements are for more time or
different days (always subject to the one week minimum), we will try to
accomodate you. If you book three weeks, the fourth consecutive week is half-price.
How to make a booking
| 1. Use the internet. |
| | We prefer to make bookings over the intenet. We try hard to respond to
all intenet inquiries within twenty-four hours. We will be glad to speak with you about
your prospective booking at 504-866-1400, or to discuss it with you via email at
info@coloradovictorian.com.
|
| 2. Review the booking calendar. |
| | Look at the booking calendar on this page and select the week(s) you want to stay. It may
save time if you also select your second choice of week(s). Furlow House is not available
during "blackout weeks" shown on the calendar below in black, and it may or may not be available during
the weeks you choose -- we do not indicate our reservation status on the calendar, only
blackout weeks. |

| 3. Fill out the reservation application. |
| | Fill in the reservation application completely, and send it as instructed on the form. It won't
send if you don't. The reservation form can be accessed through a link at the bottom of this page. In order to send the reservation application, you also need to read and
acknowledge your agreement to the House Rules. If you don't agree, you cannot apply for
a reservation. |
| 4. Our response to your reservation request. |
| | We try to respond to your reservation request within 24 hours, but may take longer on
occasion. We will either respond that your reservation may be accepted, or that we must
decline your request. If we accept your reservation, we will hold that reservation for 72 hours
after we acknowledge it. During that 72 hours you must arrange for us to receive payment for
the booking by credit card, check, cash, or wire transfer. Accepted reservations which are not paid in full within 72 hours will be
cancelled. |
| 5. Payment. |
| | Payment may be made by credit card, check, cash, or wire transfer. Payment in full is due
at the time the reservation is accepted. |
| 6. Refunds |
| | We will refund your payment under two circumstances. First, if you cancel a reservation fourteen
days or more before the day on which you were to occupy Furlow House, we will refund your
payment less a processing fee of $ 100 for each week that you cancel.
Second, if it becomes
impossible for you to occupy Furlow House, for reasons having to do with unscheduled
maintenance to the house or unforeseeable failures which cannot be remedied in 24 hours (e.g.
major heating or plumbing problems), we will refund all of your payment if you have not yet
occupied Furlow House, and if you have occupied Furlow House and are forced to relocate,
we will refund a prorata share of your payment.
If we have to issue a refund because of some system failure at Furlow House, we will also
make every effort to place you in comfortable, alternative quarters if you wish for us to assist
you in obtaining them. |
| 7. Occupancy period |
| | Your confirmed reservation entitles you to occupy Furlow House at 3 P.M. on the date the
reservation begins, which will always fall on a Sunday. Checkout time is 10 A.M. on the
following Sunday. Late checkout may be available if you ask on arrival. Late checkout
without advance approval may result in your being charged for the following week. (The next
party may require us to issue a refund if they cannot occupy.) |
| 8. Costs |
| | Furlow House rents for $2700 per week per week plus applicable local fees and state and
local taxes. Included in the cost of rental are towels daily and bed linens twice a week, or
less often if you wish to minimize your ecological impact. See the Furlow House inventory
section for a list of the amenities that are available to you. |
